The NWFL computer finally crashed last week. It was time for an upgrade anyways (the old computer was 1999 technology).
Any knowledgable NWFLers out there have any advice?
All I plan to use it for is email, MS office, Dreamweaver and burning NWFL game tape to DVD. If I can find the time I might get into a little bit of low-level video editing with the NWFL films.
Thanks in advance for your advice!
Better use my wife's email address since my computer is down: deblenore@comcast.net

I was going to send this to the email address, but I figured there may be others out there with a similar question.
These days just about any machine would have enough juice to do what you need it to do. Any standard system would have sufficient hard drive space, clock speed (2.0 gigahertz, for example), memory, etc. If you own a copy of DreamWeaver, just load it yourself. No biggie. A "game tape to DVD" burner would be an option that you'd have to specifically ask for; which would be, of course, an extra charge.
If your monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc. are all OK, just get the box by itself. It will come with the Windows XP operating system, which can automatically hook up to just about any peripheral you have. Just plug all of that stuff into it, turn it on and let it go. Other than loading DreamWeaver (or other special software), you should be up and running within a couple of hours.
Hope this helps...
