Here is a acticle from the Minor League Football news site.
EVERGREEN FOOTBALL LEAGUE GROWING!
The new Evergreen Football League in the Pacific Northwest is up to nine teams for its inagural season which will kick off in April 2005. The deadline for any additional teams to enter is October 18th. The current list of teams: Spokane Sabercats, Valley Warriors, Walla Walla Stars, Tri-City Knights, Palouse (Moscow/Lewiston Idano) Thunder, Yakima Mavericks, Wenatchee Valley Rams, Columbia Basin Bulls and Peninsula (Gig Harbor/Port Orchard) Eagles. Strong interest is coming from new teams in Bellingham, Washington, Portland, Oregon and Olympia, Washington. The Yakima (Wash) Newspaper is doing a feature article next week on Chuck Love, the organizer of the Inland Northwest Football League which operated last year with many of the teams in the Evergreen League as members. Love, a convicted felon who served jail time for fraud and writing bad checks ( the team owners didn't know about his past), ran off owing a lot of people and communties money at the end of the season. He is still out there trying to revive the INWFL,and has been collecting money from inocent players in communties where he says he will have new teams with the promise they can play in up coming all-star games, etc. The Yakima newspapers is going to expose him in the article next week which hopefully will put him out of business. Nobody wants anything to do with Love, who appears to be headed back to jail once the authorities get a hold of him. Check out the league website at

....From the sounds of it, the Cavs, Avs and maybe a couple Portland teams could be looking else where to play next season........
