Great to see more guys out at training. Good job guys. Franklin, I know I sucked it up in the footwork drills. I'm going to work on dot-drills on my own to get quicker. If anyone wants to do that as well and doesn't know how, just ask and I'll fill you in.

I think everyone did great on the agility drills! It sucked having to sit there and just watch, I am hoping thi sSaturday will be different. I am going to stay off it this week and R.I.C.E it, then get out there and really run with you guys. Great practice guys, I'll run some extra sprints when this knee is done.

Don't worry about it. I had some good feet WAY back when I was a safety, but, mine got slower and worse as I moved forward to LB. I pay a lot of attention to that in conditioning, but, I pay greater attention to how you get from A-B, and WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GET THERE. The Bolts that have played with me know that point of contact was always my strongest suit. I will look for that from players. That said, I've seen good foot replacement from you on coverage, meaning you can close quicker than those without that skill. Cones are just cones. It gets competative when Lutu starts that watch. DO work on it, feet are important as bodies pile up, and as I work through the defense, I am going to work hard to make sure there are bodies on the ground of you to step over. Whatever you work on on your own (and this goes for ALL defensive players), make sure you end it going FORWARD. I'll be running with you Saturday, and be playing a real safety, or LB spot if I am over this darn flu. Breathing helps running. I am there for the work too, but, I am there mostly to help you youngsters get better. I may be a little hard, but, my best coaches were, do NOT take it personally. Just use it to get better.
