Anyone else feel like maybe they should just decide the NCAA Title this Saturday? I mean seriously. Clearly the 2 best teams in college football right now it doesn't seem right to have them play now and the loser is out of it. There is no way that the loser of this game will have a chance to play for the title. Does this seem right to anyone else? Do you really want to see Rutgers playing for the title? Yea they've had a good season, but do you really think they can hold a candle to OSU or MICH? Thoughts?

Ohio State/Michigan is going to be a darn good game. I really won't be surprised and hope that UM beats OSU. Well I the only chance for the loser of this game to be back into the National Title game is if the other teams in the up in the BCS rankings lose out. But in the end I think USC and Michigan...I HOPE!! Rutgers has had a magical season but let's face it...the Big East isn't as strong as it used to be with VA Tech, Miami and BC. I don't think they would get blown out in the Championship game if they made it in but I think it would be closer than most expect.

Go OSU. Im still mad at Michigan after that BS win over WSU in the 98 rose bowl. But i think the whole BcS thing is crap. No rutgers shouldnt, even with a flawless season thier strength of schedule isnt as good as OSU or bitchigan.I dont think USC is strong enough this year to bring another championship to th Pac 10

12:30 on ABC. This will be a great game.
Being a native of Ohio, and a die hard fan since I knew what football is, I demand that the Buckeyes win. Also, they have the better team. These teams are very evenly matched, but Troy Smith, Ted Ginn Jr., and Jim Tressell will make the difference. Michigan has to hope for turnovers to win. If Troy Smith has time to pass, game over. If they rush him hard, they better not flush Troy up the middle as that is where he loves to run out of passing formations. Troy has chosen not to run this year, but those running legs will be there in this game as they have been every other time he plays in a big game. Don't get me wrong, I respect Michigan, even though I hate them, and they will make this a game. They are the 2nd best team in the nation, but they will not beat the best team in the nation. On top of that, Ohio State has never lost a game that I have attended, and I will be flying out Friday morning and getting my party on, before I attend THE GAME this Saturday! GO BUCKEYES!

Funny that it's only a problem when it happens to the Big-10. Let's not forget all the years that some Big-10 super team was trounced by some far inferior Pac-10 team in the Rose Bowl. According to wikipedia, both Michigan and OSU are 18-19 in bowl games. They're the Indiannapolis Colts of college football. USC, for comparison, is 28-16.

#3 USC has the best chance to get back in the title game they still have #15 CAL AND #5 NOTRE DAME if they win out dont be surprised to see the TROJANS back in the big dance. All props to rutgers for beating louisville but tell me another top ranked team they played this year. I dont believe they deserve a titile shot due to the fact they played in a not so tough confrence like the seahawks. if you slapped Rutger in the PAC 10 OR BIG TEN would they hang with those power houses. But this was rutgers schedule this year so far. 09/02 at UNC W 21-16 09/09 Illinois W 33-0 09/16 Ohio W 24-7 09/23 Howard W 56-7 09/29 at S Florida W 22-20 10/14 at Navy W 34-0 10/21 at Pittsburgh W 20-10 10/29 UConn W 24-13 11/09 #3 Louisville W 28-25 11/18 at Cincy 7:45 PM 11/25 Syracuse TBD 12/02 at #8 W Virginia TBD
Besides that i like OHIO in this game with Troy Smith leading the BUCKEYES over the Wolverines nasty defense. The first time Smith ran for 100 yards in a college game, it was against Michigan in 2004. Score: Buckeyes 37, Wolverines 21. The first time Smith threw for 300 yards in a college game, it was against Michigan in 2005. Score: Buckeyes 25, Wolverines 21. Troy smith goes in this game undefeated but this is a different Michigan team will see what happens but what the hell am i talking about i love the PAC TEN lets go USC
OHIO 24 MICHIGAN 10
UEPA #52

JustJohn,
Ohio State might have historically struggled in Bowl games, but I think that they have shed that image over the last five years
2002 - 14-0 Fiesta Bowl winner over Miami, National champions 2003 - 11-2 - Fiesta Bowl winner over Kansas State, finished #4 in the nation 2004 - 8-4, a little down, but Alamo Bowl winner over Oklahoma State and still finished I beleive #17 in the nation 2005 - 10-2 , Fieasta Bowl winner over Notre Dame, finished #3 in the nation 2006 - 11-0, 18 game wining streak, longest in the nation and potentila national champs.
I would say that recent history, all under Jim Tressel has shed any image that OSU is anything like the Indy Colts. I might be a biased OSU fan, but that record speaks for itself since 2002.
Also, 61-13 since Jim Tressel became head coach.

Actually, OSU (according to Wikipedia) is the only team to win FOUR BCS Bowl games....
Here's what I'm thinking, Michigan and OSU are usually good almost every year. And almost every year, both seem to ruin the others season. I think since OSU is the favorite, Michigan is going to knock them off. Both of these teams are evenly matched. It's going to come down to whether Michigan can make Troy Smith's day real hard...

Ya know my preseason National title winner was Notre Dame. After their loss to Mich that looked like a bad one. But if they can beat USC it might be enough to move them ahead of FLA and into the #2 spot. Fla still has a SEC title game that they will lose to ARK. I'm seeing a rematch of earlier this season ND/MICH in the title game with ND as the winner! I'm picking MICH to beat OSU. And ND to win out!

Michigan at Ohio State #2 @ #1 This will be the 103rd meeting. Series tied at 24-24-2 (last 50 years) Latest line: Ohio State favored by 7 Ohio State has won the last 2 games between these two teams (2004,2005) Advantages for Ohio State: At Ohio States 100,000 seat stadium Advantages for Michigan: Pay back for the last two season losses and a rallying around the death of famous Michigan coach Bo Schembechler. Rob Rareys pick, (I don't know why I'm picking)...Michigan will quite the crowd early and hold on for dear life in a 24-21 victory.
Also....USC over California

USC vs Michigan. I just hope that USC doesn't end up being like Oklahoma and go to a 3rd National Championship only to lose again.
Last year Notre Dame had USC and three exceptionally talented guys against him...make that four with Dwayne Jarrett. This year, it's not looking great either with USC at home.

who ever watched that game, saw the jags and the 49ers game. the same thing happened to us which proved to be the game winning play. wasn't pulling for either team. but that hurt all over again. both the Michigan player and the jag player first name was shaun. hell i think they have the same number lol. just kidding about the same number just giving shaun from the jags a hard time. but for real that sh-t hurt all over again.
