I know this isn't about football but it made me mad when i read it. I got an e-mail at work from one of the fire chiefs it was about a letter a soldier wrote to starbucks from Irac. He wrote saying how much they liked starbucks coffee and wish they could get some sent over there. starbucks wrote back and said they are happy to hear that they like their coffee but will not send any over do to starbucks is against the war and anyone who would fight in it. Now I know some are against the war and I guess they have the right to their own oppinion, but not to support our troops who are fighting for us is wrong. For starbucks to come out and say that they refuse to serve those who serve our country is wrong.

I concur!!!! You can be against the War all you want but, To not support our troops is wrong. They didn't ask to go to war. They are just doing what there job requires them to do. As we all do......

This is an URBAN LEGEND. Starbucks has not come out and said this. There are so many rumors that go around the INTERNET, you can check yourself on Snopes.com it's listed as number 19...the URL for this page is www.snopes.com/politics/military/starbucks.aspAs a matter of fact, the Marine who originally started this wrote a retraction saying "he heard from some one who heard from someone" Typical rumor mill stuff. By the way.....has anyone in the NWFL recently donated anything toward Soldiers in Iraq? If not....my son in law is there (for the 2nd time) and if anyone is interested we can send packages to him and he will distribute them to soldiers who receive nothing. There are lots of them. If you are truly interested in supporting your troops and you want to do something like this, let me know we can work together to make this happen. After all, we have over 10,000 troops from Fort Lewis there alone.

Starbuck's should set up it's corp office in Iraq and join the America hate'n terrorists. But they won't because they feel safe here in the good old USA spitting on those that protect us all. Besides they have to be this way to serve coffee to their pink haired nose ringed America hateing clients or they will leave and buy their coffee at the local head shops. Also they're slamming God now....Starbucks put this quote on the side of their coffee cups: Printed on the cup was: "Why in moments of crisis do we ask God for strength and help? As cognitive beings, why would we ask something that may well be a figment of our imaginations for guidance? www.examiner.com/a-715496~Woman_drops_Starbucks_habit_because_of_coffee_cup_quote.htmlI for one will celebrate ARMED FORCES DAY this Saturday May 19th by not visiting a Starbucks. I'll go to Big Foot Java or somewhere else.
