Hey guys just wanted to make a tentative announcement that we are looking to join the NAFL this week! I am hoping that nothing comes up that will stop this from going forward, but we are very excited about this move!
This will give us a VERY realistic chance to play a national play-off game if not play for the NAFL National Title. It basically puts us in the national spotlight and allows us to PLAY our way into a game against another highly respected team from another part of the country. Dave Brannon gave me the ok yesterday to move forward and I will be filling out our registration this week!
This means nothing if we do not take care of business, practice hard, and do the things we are capable of doing! This simply puts us in the conversation, it's up to us what we decide to do with it!

Dante,
I am still learning this as I go so I might be a little off on a few things but here it goes.......Basically there are about 120 teams in the NAFL. At the end of the year the league champions as well as up to 8 at large teams from each region will enter the national tournament.
There is a NAFL1 and a secondary bracket for division 1 for example it is fee-sable that our league champ would go play for NAFL 1 and the runner-ups (maybe even us and the Stallions) depending on how the season takes shape would play in the secondary bracket. Some people might snicker and say that the champion of the secondary bracket holds no significance and I disagree. I would compare it to Division 1 and Division 1AA in college. The 1AA Champs don't feel less significant they are the National Champs of Division 1AA. In college you have Division 1, 1AA, 2, 3, and NAIA. None of those teams feel insignificant when the win their respective titles! Of course our goal is to win our league and play for the whole thing!
The reason this holds more weight in my opinion than the smaller regional championships is because there are far more teams and there are representatives from all over the country. This will give us an opportunity to go play in Vegas this year in the NAFL championships. (This is normally at the Disney Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida but they are doing some renovations this year apparently, so this year the games will be played in Vegas)
Of course this means nothing if we go pee down our legs against the Bucs this week. This is something that will affect us at the end of the year, and in order to get there you have to win! Get your butts to practice tonight because nobody is going to give you this you have to EARN it! I hope this answers your questions!
