administration of the Thunderbolts.
SO from one teammate who always put it on the line for his
team.
Don't expect any help at all if you get hurt cause it doesn't
exist???

David,
Can this company cover Washington players also? The policy that is offered by Marshall Paris is only good if you have NO other insurance coverage. I would like to pass this information on to our players if, in fact, they can get the coverage here in Washington.
Thanks!

Ty,
I am going to guess that was NOT directed at me because I did call you and show alot of genuine concern about your injury! I have expressed the same concern about you attempting to come back and play on that leg this season.
In addition to that I think that it is unfair to say "T-Bolt Administration" when David is on here trying to get people signed up for insurance and talking about your injury as an example of what we never want to have happen again!
I posted several messages last season about how upset I was over the injury. I am sure that you are still dealing with the fact that this injury was devastating but don't attack the people that care about you! Hope all is going well on the honeymoon and I look forward to seeing you in the near future!

Tbolts, I wasn't trying to disrespect anybody from the Tbolts, But if somebody wants to use me as an example then they outta know the whole story. For example: How does a Owner of any type of sport team not know when one of his teams most dedicated players breaks his leg while playing for his team? and believe me when I say this I didn't care that I didn't get a call or any kind of salutation but when my wife called the administration to try and figure away for this not to happen to any of my fellow teammates she was told that the administration had no idea that I broke my leg and this was 2 months after the injury. I know sounds crazy especially if you watched the race for congress in the 5th district and all the ad campaigns for being a new voice of Oregon..Shoot how bout a new voice for your team!!!
And unless you have helped me with the $35-40 thousand dollars in medical bills that my insurance company is trying to disallow for playing a dangerous sport with no supplemental coverage or any of the long list of crappy sh**it that has stemmed from this injury then holler atcha boy. But until then.....(Not directed at you Cristian)
So to your question Christian No I wasn't talking about you and I think if you wanted to know if I was referring to you, you could have called me instead of trying to discredit my feelings here. Man you know I got love for you and want you to be successful in coaching and anything you do in Life.
And to my teammates I wanna make sure y'all know this don't have anything to do with anybody on the team. But like my original post says take the 20 buck a month insurance cause it could make all the difference in your lively hood. If you wanna know what I mean specifically holler at me.
P.S Oh and by the way I'm gonna be back in 2008 bigger faster and with dual coverage...LOL..That is unless I'm black balled by then...Man that sounds retarded...Banned for getting hurt. That would be some shizzle!!

Ty, I understand your feelings however, you are not being honest about whether or not you got phone calls from the people in this organization to show we cared about what happened to you. I called you at least 3-4 times. you were on your pain meds so your memory may have been clouded, but the calls were made. I also called you before your surgery and also the evening after. we did make the effort. I called Phil's phone at the hospital the night of the game to make sure you were doing OK.
The reason I even mentioned your name in the original post was that You were offered the same opportunity for insurance and chose not to take it because you had insurance from your new job. You and I had this conversation because I am concerned about all my players health and you were on this top of my list considering what you meant to this team.
The reason the owner didn't know you were hurt was because he is not in town that entire month, and I never told until you asked me to talk to him. He is not involved in the day to day things that go on with the team, he support us with the uniforms you wore the fields we play on and the referees we need to play our games. He puts everything else in my hands. so if you're angry don't bad mouth him. Since this happened we have talk about it a couple of times about how bad we felt for you and your fam, Mike donates all the proceeds of the Tbolts to the school dist. and he does for alot of people, and all of the Negative things you and your wife have been posting about him makes him more and more less likely to give you any help. If the guy helped out every player that got hurt he'd be pretty silly. regardless to how much money he has, Its not what any owner in this or any other league does.
When you play you know the risk, I just want every one to minimize it. Ty your bill still exists while your support is dwindling. We still care about you but this anger needs to be directed some where else because Mike is not ever going to help you if you keep bashing him. lets go about this in a different way.
Man this has gotta stop...

First off I didn't get on here to beef with nobody. And I darn sure never asked for help from you or anybody else in this organization for the simple reason that I Do understand the risk in playing football, and like your self took the risk without a second thought. And the only reason My wife called Mr. Erickson was to help figure out away for our situation to not be repeated by any of my teammates. Never in that conversation did she ask for any monetary help or any other type of help. But at that time Mr. Erickson told her to compile a list of medical bills and write a letter in regards to my injury and he would help out with the bills.. Personally I asked her not to contact Mr. Erickson in regards to any of this because I just wanted to get better and be a thunderbolt again..But being the great woman and friend to most of the women f my teammates she felt responsible to help other families avoid this type of issue. So thats why she contacted Mr. Erickson. So the fact that I haven't received any help from the organization is perfectly fine with me and the way it should be. But don't blow smoke up my Wife's MAN, especially since all she was trying to do was help. So like I was trying to say in my original post to MY TEAMMATES take the $20 buck a month Insurance Because help does not exist at this level..
P.S. My wife ain't never been on this board talking negatively about no one.
You wanna talk more Dave Holler at me (503) 678-7769.

I think this entire situation truely highlights the need to get this insurance!
When you don't take steps to protect yourself things like this happen and I can't tell you how unfortunate that is for everyone involved.
At the end of the day bridges and burned, pride and feelings are hurt, relationships are strained, and nobody wins!
I wish there was something I could personally do to help this situation but I cannot, and that is a helpless feeling! Remember when times get hard we're all we got.......So let's act like it!

Christian.
Man I'm not on here looking for help, if i was I would have done it 6 months ago when my car was being repossessed.. All I want is to make my teammates aware and promote any supplemental coverage possible..
Christian I appreciate you.

I just feel really bad about the whole thing! I know David does also I talked to him about this at length today......The bottom line is we all care about you and your family and we are all sorry that this happened.
Players that have read this need to listen to Ty AND David's advice and make sure that you protect yourselves in 07'!
TY, I appreciate you and everything you have contributed to the T-Bolts and to me as a coach and a friend!
