To all Saints-
First off, my apologies for not attending practice today. To make a long story short, I was left up at work in Whidbey Island by my vanpool and had no other way to my vehicle. Unless for some unforseen reason something terrible should happen to me, I will make practice on Thursday. But from what I heard, I'm really impressed with the turnout for today's practice. 40 in attendance...that's what I call hungry souls!! Not only am I impressed, but the whole front office is very pleased to see us make improvements. It's turnouts like that is what will make us better and well prepared for the competition. Even if you do not step on the field to play, you've at least made one or all of the guys representing you and the other Saints on the gridiron better...believe that!! Let's keep truckin' forward gentlemen!!!
Player fees, please get those in...and I'm talking to my veterans also. Even if you can't pay in full now, show some initiative and talk to someone in the front office such as the team secretary. We can all help. We can set up some reasonable payment plans. Hell, talk to me or Joe Diabo if you have to and we can help you if you let me know what's going down. Our Team President/Owner/OT Mike Murray is willing to work with anyone. Money is always going to be an issue at some point in our life...we can at least help one another out. If we need, we can figure something out as a group to knock this out together. Keep in mind, this is issue will be handled with confidentiality. I was raised in the Rainier Valley in Seattle where 95% of the neighborhood is broke so I know what it's like. I'm still broke today. But it's very important that we get those player fees in...Let's get this done so we can focus on just playing football.
I will be releasing a new schedule (team events) that will cover us out to our first game. These next few weeks leading up to opening weekend will be very critical in how our season will progress. One play at a time!! That's how it was last year, and that's how it's going to be this year.
If you have any questions or concerns, please come and talk to me or one of the other members in the front office. We want to make things better than ever. The only way we can do that is if we get feedback from you. We all have to gel together as a team. Thank you.
