It was rainy and cold November night back in 1994 at Edmonds Stadium. I'm not making this up either...it really was a cold rainy night. But anyways, First Round of the state playoffs. Rainier Beach Vikings vs. Lake Stevens Vikings, dogs vs. hogs, speed vs. brawn, city boys vs. countryside boys. We got our asses handed to us that night 49-0. That was my last HS football game ever. After that game I told myself, if ever I should play on this field again, I'm not going to be on the losing end. So tomorrow's game is the second time I've played against the SC Viks but first time back at Edmonds since. Fellas, I'm anxious to play. I'm anxious to battle on that field again and win one on that field. That's one of many reasons why I want to win tomorrow. This is a perfect situation for myself and the rest of you my brothers. The Viks are a solid team, if we want to be the best, we have to beat the best!! So we must focus and execute every play. For the love of the game we are on the field. For the belief we have in one another's abilities to help us all get to the promise land is why we have decided to be teammates. Basically what I'm trying to say is....Let play some football, have fun and win!! Let's get em' Saints!!
Rollis Talalemotu aka O.G. Muddbone Saints #88
p.s. THe D-Line will be having QBBQ Ribs tomorrow from 6pm-8pm on Edmonds Field. This week's special will be Viking BBQ ribs. The cost of a plate is $20. Please contribute. Thank you and Merry Christmas!!!
