`Friday Night Lights' extras needed By Richard Tijerina | Monday, July 16, 2007, 01:47 PM Makers of the NBC series "Friday Night Lights" are looking for paid extras to work as sideline football players. Filming for the new season begins July 19. Extras work between 8-12 hours usually, at a salary of $75 for 8 hours of work (plus overtime) on a non-game day and $125 for 12 hours on game and practice days. There's a guarantee of 8 hours. What they're looking for: Those who could pass for high school football players .. but those who are not intending to play college football (there are NCAA regulations to contend with). Those who could pass for high school cheerleaders .. but those who are not intending to compete at the college level (again, NCAA rules). Those who could pass for college football players .. but again, no one who's planning on playing in college. Football coaches. Sideline assistants.
