But for now, pick somebody else because I never know about our team until we play. Thanks again for the Kind words about an old Coach and Kind words about the 2007 Rams ! Coach Preston WV Rams Say Coach P, Your sounding much like old legionary Coach Lou Holts who would say the same thing about his team to the media minimizing his teams chances and then would proceed to send his team out onto the field to kick some a$$.

The Spring League Champs could be anybody thats come to play football and has the best program to offer. That why the GNFA was form for the spring league tournament . We can 't judge on guessing who's team is going to be the power house or who has the best players in the league. The way I see it, there are alots of good players in the state of Washington Just have to go find them . I wish the Best of Luck to the PNFC, OFL, EFL Spring League. And for the NWFL your league has been Strong for many years. Lots of good teams and players from the NWFL started and ended there Football playing days from that league.

2007 will be an interesting season for both the spring and summer teams. Everyone is claiming that they have more than others, that may be true but the game is still played between the white lines. The old cliche "anyone can be beat on any given day", that's what makes each week exciting.
The Northwest Avalanche has played both the Wenatchee Valley Rams and the South Sound Shockers, we know firsthand they are very well coached and solid contending teams. If I had pick the teams too beat it would be those two, I'm not trying to put a bull's-eye on they're chest, but it's a fact they're good football teams. My team as well as other teams had better be ready to play at a high-level when stepping on the field against them.
Summer league football teams are very, very, very talented- Jaguars are the returning champions and will likely repeat again in 2007. It's a team that loaded with talent at every position as well as a deep roster of players. Of course you have to go with the Saints as the team to challenge the Jaguars for the crown in 2007. The Vikings are on the rise just missing the postseason last season. Coach Fischer and his staff are starting to get the talent necessary to reach the postseason as well as having a shot to win it all.
Adding the Stallions to the Northwest football league could effect other Seattle teams. It's a scientific fact when you add more or less to something you will either increase or decrease its effect. Then there's always an outside chance that there will be no effect on any team. It's always been a personal belief of mine that when a league's growth policy supersedes team quality policy, the outcome will be diminished quality of play. What I'm saying is there should be a policy in place to prevent saturating teams in one geographical area which only diminish roster strength and quality of play among the teams located within a geographical area. A simple solution would be not allowing teams to be within 60 to 70 miles of each other, therefore each current team will be able to maintain their quality of play. Every league whether it's the PNFC, OFL, EFL,or NWFL, should choose providing quality entertainment over growth, so quality of football isn't diminish.

Sounds like it's time to get your players contract sign for the team that they are going to play for this coming year. 3rd time is a charm for the JAGS to win it again . (Go Jags)

It is just my opinion, and I have been saying this for a long time. It seems that everyone believes that the football talent pool in a finite thing, and that may be true. However, I do not believe that we have even come close to tapping the resources of talented players that are out there, but don't even know about semi-pro football. My feeling is that instead of trying to recruit each others players, either overtly or covertly, we should talk to everyone that will listen about semi-pro football and get the word out there and get more players involved. Just my humble opinion.

I have talked to four guys in the past three months who have never heard of it and would've participated sooner had they known.

Lorrie and I went to Pappas Pub in Kent to watch the Seahawk playoff game. The pub was full of football loving dudes. It was easy to talk to them about Semi-Pro football as I stood in the buffet line. It sparked some interest. They heard of the Jaguars but that was about the extent of it. After I was done I then simply handed out Jags business cards and directed them to the our website.
I'll be holding Semi-Pro recruiting classes soon for those interested. The cost of these classes is Lunch. ;D

If you have some spare time you might want to watch a game that may reduce the HUGE, RUNAWAY lead the Shockers have going into this season www.wellingtoninnovations.com/GAMEFILM/4-SVL-SSS-7-6.rm3 hr drive, 1 coach, no D coord, 5 defensive players, and borrowed Shocker jerseys, driving rain

Brad , You forgot to say that your team show up 2 hours late for that game . Your head coach was out of town and did not tell any one who had there game jerseys to where you had to used the Shockers jerseys and your game was rule a forfeit by the league.

Guy, You can say that. But did we not play the Shockers. Yeah our head coach, defensive coordinator, half the team and equipment manager flacked out on us and yes we did use the Shockers jersey's. We all know what happened and for those of you that don't know now you do. But the thing is EVERYONE is picking the Shockers to win the PNFC watch that video and tell me what you think. They didn't score 70 points on us. We lost in the last 3 minutes of the game by 1 POINT. All Brad is doing is saying hey look at this video. You can always point out the negative things like that or you can say hey the Lightning are the only one's in the PNFC to score on both the Stallions and the Shockers and this is going to be a great year for football or we can B*tch and moan about the negative stuff that happened and move on. Did we or did we not play a game? It was a great game and is probably going to be one of the games to see this year in the PNFC.

Im not bragging about it Mr. Happy. If I recall your team pushed back the time so they are the ones that allowed the two hour delay. All they had to say is no and have a safe drive back but they didn't. Your right about May 12th not coming sooner it is diffently circled on my schedule. I can already tell there is tension between our teams. I think it has to do with what happened afterwards. All the complaining coming out of the Shockers about using your uni's you got a game out of it. I would be embarrassed to be a Shocker but hey thats me.

Avz to finish last in the spring league, Skagit has upgraded its talent pool and the Shockers have definitely brought in some key players to make the run for the championship. In the end it'll come down to the Shockers vs Skagit or Lane County only because I haven't heard too much about the other teams and their new recruits.(no disrespect to the other teams) Best Regards Coach Poasa

Hi Mr.Rarey! This is Matthew "Nick" Nixon Good to know you are still around and loving football. Glad you haven't forgot about us Lightning players that came down to Kent and got that trophy. I hope you do come to the game in Mount Vernon.
I played with the Lightning last year and I am playing with them again this year. I was one of the ones that made that 3 hour trip to the Shocker stadium. I was one of the few that stayed with the team and showed up to the game.
Mr. Happy,Yes we were late, roster depleted, no gear, I played in sweats!!! Yes we Lost the game, and then were told it would go down as a forfeit. All that happened...it's history, but don't say you would be ashamed to say you lost those two games that we lost. We played the Stallions hard and they respected us for it. By the time we got to the Shockers game, nobody had heard from the head coach for weeks, the defense stopped practicing with the offense, never saw the def. cor. again or practically the whole defense for that matter, and half of the team that did show up to the Shocker stadium were late, because we went to the wrong field and if we were going to forfeit, it wasn't worth driving another hour, but the time was extended and we came as soon as we could with what we had. These are not excuses, but facts of what happened. We make no excuses now just like we didn't that day. We came and we gave the Shockers everything we had and the final score was 7-6 Shockers. Why should we be ashamed of that. Should the Shockers be ashamed that they won every game but the big one? I don't think they should the Stallions were great as well as the Shockers, but lost a close one. You made a comment about warming up and then taking a nap, we ran straight from the cars to the locker room to the field. I could use that as an excuse, but why bother? I wouldn't take anything away from the Shockers, winner's win. They win close and they win ugly. Y'all won ugly last season against the Bad News Bears.Instead of slanging mud at each other and trying to make for a hostile game or something, how about this: Last year we had a hard-hitting, very close, and competitive game. It has all the makings of a good rematch. Leave it at that, but please don't disrespect me and my other 15 teammates that had the NUTS to show up under those circumstances and take on a team that had blew out other teams by 60 and 70 points by trying to insinuate that we did not play a good hard game. That game gave us something to hang our hats on and rally behind for this season. We rallied behind Brad Collins as the head coach, because he was the only coach that cared. We are back this year better, more focused, and with way better coaching and leadership. Even if the Shockers were to come to Mount Vernon and blow us out, it would not take away from the game we played last season.
With that said, I think the forerunners for the PNFC will probably be the Shockers and the Avalanche. The Shockers for obvious reasons, and the AVZ's because no one else is talking about them, but I know they have faithful roster and chemistry. I am confident that the Lightning will be a factor in some way this year, but I am not Ocho Cinco, I just like to be 85 so I don't make guarantees.I think the Stallions move to the NWFL makes for some interesting games and scenarios, given that most of the players from the Stallions championship team are very familiar and have ties with other NWFL teams. Sounds like the makings of some great games with a lot of trash-talking implications. Being a former Jag, I have much love for those guys. I also like the Saints, and the T-Bolts ended up being pretty tough by the end of the season with their QB built like Barry Sanders. But I think in the end it will be the Jags again playing the VIks. I would say the Saints, but I think that while everyone is expecting that, the Viks are quietly closing the talent gap.Plus on the low, they are a real physical team. I don't know anything about the EFL, but I think the Blue Mountain team and that Walla Walla team will probably meet for the championship in that league.
Sorry for such a long post, but man I will not let my teammates be disrespected.
LIGHTNING STRIKES!!!
