Yes it is true the Seattle Stallions will not be back with the PNFC this coming year 2007 . So Bull now you will have to find a new spring team to play for?

Wow. We can say STALLIONS now? Well, Guy, Im done with spring. I only did it as a solid for Coach Davis. I DID have fun though. The Stallions were a great collection of athletes, and a good group of guys. If they enter the NWFL, that most likely will be where I will play due to familiarity.

Yes - by request of, and out of respect and courtesy of, the PNFC and Stallion ownership, we did our best to allow them to make the announcement on their own terms.
I still fail to comprehend why extending them such courtesy was such a difficult concept for so many to understand.
This isn't the major media where we get our jollies in sticking our noses in other people's business and exposing it just to get a scoop.
On behalf of the NWFL, I apologize to everyone for any physical, emotional or psychological trauma that was caused by honoring their requests and forcing you to be patient and mature for *gasp* AN ENTIRE WEEK!

Kinda of like what they used to do to the Washington Huskies football from back in the early 90's when they had the Bowl Ban..."if you can't beat em', ban em!!" hahahahaha Just kidding....

Fellas, I'm just kidding. I really don't have anything against the PNFC, Stallions organization, or anyone else...seriously!! I would like to think this is all business.

Before I start...This is just my opinion and I possess no special physic powers of looking into the future (look at my NFL picks as proof).
I believe the new 2007 Spring league Champs will be the Southsound Shockers. Hands down run away favorites, give them the trophy now. This based on last seasons record, no Stallions on the schedule and a roster of 70. The PNFC number 2 team will be wwwway back in the running for number one.
In the new CFL, I'm unsure of because it has not really developed yet. I'd have to go with the Olympic Eagles of Sequim because they played last season.
The Summer NWFL will be a log jam for the top spot. I'd say 6 maybe 7 teams in the running for the top 4 spots. Should be some great key games this season.

I would have to agree that the Shockers will be the number one team. I don't see anyone coming even close to beating them...at least PNFC play. Please, don't take any offense to that...it's just my opinion! If they do get beat in the PNFC, it will be more like the South Sound ShockED! But they acquired some talent in the area...and more talent is still incoming. Not only that talent but they have probably one of the best QBs in semi-pro football up here. Yeah the Jeff Garcia look alike....John Stewart. But Coach Maty and Mark Meadows are doing a good job with the Shockers organization.
But I challenge the CFL to prove me wrong. I don't think that league will get off too well given the fact that the PNFC is starting before them and the NWFL starts about midway through...two leagues that will over shadow that league. The idea of another league could be a good one but there realistically isn't enough football players (good at least) to compensate every team in Western Washington. They might get a player or two on a team but if you ask me for my opinion...majority of those players I presume will be the ones we saw standing on the sidelines for most of the NWFL teams last year or any time before. It's going to be that way for the first year or two. After that?? I don't know...things could change possibly.
Now the NWFL (rolling up my sleeves).... Stallions don't jump onboard...the NWFL will still be good. The Stallions do jump onboard...even better!! All the teams will really have to tighten up the ship because that move would take us back four years ago when we had the Eastside Hawks and two losses would be pushing your chances into post-season. The competition in the NWFL was good last year and should be very interesting this year. I agree with Rob on this one...there's going to be 6 to 7 teams, at least in contention for the NWFL. That's including the Buffalo Bills of the NWFL...the West Sound Saints!! Like that one....hehehehehe

Wow! Rollis you got me DYING with the Buffalo Bills comment! LOL!!!! Anyways, you are right. The NWFL would be just fine without the Stallions. But throw the Stallions into the mix, you have SEVERAL instant and developing rivalries that would make for one sloberknocker of a season. Every team WOULD step their game up, and EVERY team would at least get better than they were last season. LETS DO THIS. Oh, the Shockers ARE a legit team, and they will be even better this season! Oh, and Mr Stewart, their QB can play. They would do well even in the NWFL.

looking at yalls history i think the saints are about a step away from reaching the top. i'm still not sure the shockers will make the final step either, from what i red the lightning might be on to some things.

With all due respect I think the EFL will be very competitive this year and a handful of our teams will be in contention not only for the EFL title but the spring league title too. It's hard to pinpoint who will be the league champs but for the last two years the Tri-Cities and Walla Walla have been there and the Tri-Cities have won both times.
In all honesty the Wenatchee Rams look like the team to beat because they are building a strong tradition and I believe Paul Preston is one of the most respectable men that I've met in semi-pro football. On top of all that they have strong community support and some great talent at all positions.

I would have to say that I will not pick against my team, but from an outsiders perspective, I would pick the shockers from just reading, but we have done some nice things, especially with what we picked up on the O-line. I think in the EFL, it will be a battle between Walla Walla and Wenatchee, I will give you my pick on ,arch 11th, between the 2, in the NWFL, I think depending on what the Stallions do, we will see the same 2 teams, but the gap is closing between them and the rest. I will be pulling for you Rollis, even though I see the Jags stealing another close one.

What's up Randy. But the Jags were the team to beat in 2005, 2006 and this year too. Depending on what happens this year, unless proven otherwise, they will be the team to beat for a while. Until figures that out, they are the defending 2-time NWFL Champion looking for a 3-peat in 2007. I don't know much about the EFL other than I've heard good things of Coach Preston and the Tri-cities team gave the Stallions a game last summer. I'm going to go with Tri-cities for now.

Tri-Cities was a decent team. They have probably the best QB Ive played against at the semi-pro level, yes even better than the Shockers QB Stewart. They have several good WR, all fast, kinda small, but looks like clones of each other. The WR are also pretty flamboyant! Just dont play those guys when its HOT outside! The heat was sapping us, and it seemed to keep them energized. When the sun went down, we started putting it on them in a major way! I think the final was 47-27. It also didnt hurt us that Deuce took out their QB with a monster hit!

Bull, Scott Biglin was the TC's QB and a former college teammate. If you think he was awsome then you should've seen him when he was in shape! The Knights found ways to win, bottom line; but I think the speed on the west was a little too much in the end. Not to mention that Biggs was taken out. Unfortunately for the Tri-Cities Biggy won't be back. He's enjoying retirement teaching and spending time with his two little ones.
Chief...shoooot manung, we have a game set up against Lakewood in March. I'm thinking about re-building the manung fan club.
Bull, I agree with the quick little clone receivers that TC has. In 2005, when I was playing LB for the Spokane Sabercats I was one-on-one with a receiver that was giving up 100lbs to me. 165lbs. running forward has a better chance against 265lbs. backwards. Needless to say my boy Biggs took advantage of the situation.

The Mavericks will be playing Wenatchee, Tri-Cities, Walla Walla, and Stateline (will be very good this year) this season out of the EFL, and will be taking on both the Shockers and the Lightining of the PNFC. If there was any way to swing a game with the Jags while we are still in game shape I would like to set something up with them to. The guys on the team who were not able to play them last summer would really like a shot at them. And the guys who did play would like a shot to play the Jags with the guys who did not play against them. Does that make since?
I did not know about the Outlaws until I saw them ranked #1 in the GNFA. Maybe I should think about finding them a date to.

To DaKineFourNine, Saints31 and svlightning: THANK-YOU for the kind words on behalf of the Wenatchee Valley Rams !
I have to agree with the assessment that there is a ton of "wait-and-see" to see how teams actually come together and play. The WV Rams are certainly in that category. There are really good players in all three leagues (EFL, PFNC and OFL) with really good Coaches. You know how it goes, "On any given day ... "
We are like all of You ... We are so ready to get started ! But for now, pick somebody else because I never know about our team until we play. Thanks again for the Kind words about an old Coach and Kind words about the 2007 Rams !
Coach Preston WV Rams
