Very interesting, after 2 seasons and a 24-2 record Coach Maty is stepping down as the South End Slackers Head Coach. I read it on their web site this morning. He must not be able to handle the pressure of facing stiffer competiton next season. The Mustangs are going to be the best jv team by far next year. Whatever happened to coaches sticking with their team through thick and thin? Icey Mike

Why don't you just ask Maty himself; I'm sure he'll tell you what's up. Always causing/trying to start something, aren't you? Mike...... who ever you are.

Fly-trap, Isn't it funny how you seem to be so butt-hurt about the "low league" as you said it? Did they reject you? Is that what happened? Why do you feel so neglected? Does this remind you of your upbringing, like when the big mean football players didn't let you play with their balls? It's ok sweetie, daddy will just buy you a football all for your own. Now remember to let the grown-ups play their football game. It's playoff time and you need to get off the football players jock straps and sit on the sidelines and play with your crayons. And remember what daddy taught you to do. Don't be mean to the football players and get off their personal life, especially people like Matty. He unlike you is a class act who is a stand up man. You will forever be a JV reject who gets his libido going thru the very poor way of spreading venom. Ok darling, now daddy has to catch a plane, again. Be good and remember. Wetting the bed and then being mean to other people in order to divert the attention from it is not going to make you stop. Good night and say your prayers, fly-trap. Jose PS. Remember that there are no big bad football players under you bed. So no crying at night while you think the JV leagues that rejected you are after you... Adieu And yes I will bring you that life size cut off of Thierry Henry from Barcelona.

Flyspeck SYLLABICATION: fly·speck NOUN: 1. A small dark speck or stain made by the excrement of a fly. 2. A minute or insignificant spot. That's about 100% accurate for everything you have to say, Flyspeck. It's funny how well you emulate this definition.

As this is what happens when an apple is flyspecked, this is what you do to our board and organization.

Okay, I decided to do a little research on this Maty character. Apparently he was inducted into the MLFN Hall of Fame as a player. For what? I'll tell you what, nothing. I went back into the NWFL archives and this nobody was never All League and as far as I can tell never won anything at this level. He took his team to a 24-2 record against teams that would have a hard time beating my little brothers 9th grade team and then he bails on them because he knows the stage is set for the Mustangs to emerge as the power in the jv league next year. The Mustangs have built relationships with their big brothers here in the NWFL rather than isolate themselves like the Slackers have done. The few Mustangs that can compete at this level have been playing for the Jaguars and Stallions and they are sure to take some of their NWFL friends down to the Mustangs in the jv league to show them what competitive football really is. Why put me down and jump on me for pointing out the obvious? Only a scurred chump would leave his team hanging when a new power is emerging in the jv league. So go ahead and call me names Ted. I quit ragging on you when you quit being pervy in your posts. I told you once my team wins the NWFL Championship I would let the cat out the bag. Icey "Flyboy" Mike

Maybe you should talk to the people who have played with him, against him, and been coached by him. I don't know Maty on a personal level, but I do know this: when it comes to football Maty is an intense individual. You see it as soon as you see him. He's never bragged about how great he is, everybody else has. That tells me he's humble. You're calling him out, and for what? He's not apart of this league, & he hasn't been on this board talking smack. You're just stirring the pot trying to get rivalries started that have no business being started.
P.S. Nice try Flyspeck. My post haven't changed 1 iota. I'm the same guy I have always been. Given the opportunity I will write more "pervy" post at my discretion.

Icey "Flyboy" Mike I guess if YOU cant find the info, nothing ever happened. You cant be any more mistaken. Steve was one of the most dominat defenders in Northwest minor league in the mid to late 80's. starting for the Panthers who, lets see...i believe it was something like 45-0 during one stretch. Steve also coached in the league and eventually moved on to spearhead the Shockers. I played against him, along side him and have considered him a great friend and associate for many years. Your criteria for Hall of Fame dosent negate the fact that he belongs there. Everyone should know that just beacause you cant find stats or all league teams in the NWFL archives, dosent mean it dosent exist. Unfortunately, recording of stats and stuff from prior years was a challenge. John has done a great job putting together what record we do have.

That's why, Flyspeck. Try being accurate next time. Thanks for clearing that up Ted. I've never figured out how owners and coaches balance this with family. Sometimes I don't even understand why they try. Here's the story on the Shockers website: linkMaty isn't leaving altogether, just moving up to the front office as recruiting coordinator. Their new coach is a former platoon sargeant from Oakland who also knows a bit about football as well. A platoon sargeant from Oakland? The Shockers could actually be tougher next season - if that's possible.
