One of the fine corner-backs in this league was injured in the Titans vs. Grizzlies game. Jeremiah "Capp" Captain was flipped while attempting to go up for a ball and landed on the back of his neck. Was said to be knocked out like Boldin of the Cardinals. Was down for a min but walked off the field under his own power but was taken to the hospital for further tests. Keep him in your prayers one of the best corners to hit the NWFL.
In more news Andre "Pipe" Piper was named MVP as he torched the secondary of the Grizzlies. Leo Dickerson went down and back up came in and thats when Pipes game stepped up along with fellow assassin Mike "Slim" Bush. Two unstoppable forces in that high powered offense. The run game sputtered but the grizzlies had no answer for the Assassins. The Grizzlies defense was referred to as T-Bolt like. Great front seven with 280 pound backers but, there secondary definitely fell short in a hard fought game.
The Titans defense was controlling the line of scrimmage and, Chis "C-Dubb" Watkins shut down the passing game with two key interceptions. Continues to shine in the big games as he did in 2005 when he took the trip to San Fran with the Jags and came away with 3 picks where the Jags came up just short. 5 interceptions in two national games. Can you say big time player in a big time game. All in all congrats to the Titans staff and players. Great Season!!!!
PRAY FOR A SPEEDY RECOVERY FOR MR. CAPTAIN
P.S To the Wiley Vets its good to hear that you got your ring.

I hope and pray the injured player is able to return to normal life.
As far as the recap of the game, the Grizzlies defense held the Titans offense under 150 yards, you couldn't run and the only passes you completed were throw ups with offensive pass interference. And the defense was good, but it didn't shut the Grizzlies offense down like you describe. The Grizzlies FB pounded you all night long and the passing game had a lot of success also.

A lot of success = 13 points? Shut down = 21points?
Makes sense I guess.

Oh my. How funny it is. Where do I start at for a breakdown of the game?
The Grizzlies were soley banking on the #20 and #34 to go off on the ground. We took away your bread and butter. Also, ask #8 how he feels after all those sacks, hit after hit on every play, and the bone crushing hit that CW #3 put on him.
The Titans left a lot, A LOT of points on the field. Our defense got 3 turnovers and 3 3-and-outs that weren't capitalized on.
The Titans never trailed the game and even though the score didn't show it, the game was managable and in our hands.
So in conclusion, the team that made more plays and took advantage of turnovers and matchups, won the game.

Grizz #8 got up after each and every hit. Your starting QB went out early from Grizz hit and your backup had to be helped off the field twice from Grizz hits......your DB "Capp" was a receiver when he got hammered. Your RB and FB did nothing......you had three passes of any signifcance. If the horrible officiating doesn't give you two of the three TD's, you're so-called "powerful" offfense doesn't sniff the end zone. The Grizz fumbled a center QB exchange on on a fourth down try at the Titans 4 yard line on their second series of the game. Yeah, the Titans won and that's all that really matters, but to post on here that they dominated the Grizzlies, you're a fool.

Oh, one more thing, the Grizzlies' top two running backs, one of which is their league's Running Back of the year, couldn't make the game. With real officals and the Grizz running backs there, it wouldn't have been a game......you can count on it.

The Titans had two big playmakers, #9 and that big tall receiver. Take them out of the game and what do the Titans do? And most of the damage done by #9 was on special teams. I'll give him credit. That guy could possibly be the best all around player in the Colorado league. That top RB for the Grizzlies is also their return guy. That's my point........whether you respect it or not is irrelevant.

Bla bla bla you lost the game. Guess what the officals are part of it. Get over it. The Titans were missing players to. The better team won. Bottom line. Have some self respect in defeat. That what make a guy better for your next chance the next time around. Both teams could a would a but did what they did that night and the winners were the Titans. Better luck next year.

wow, take away 2 players and the titans wouldn't have been as powerful. take away the grizzlies 2 best players, and it would have been different too.
i told you man, we have been dealing with haters all year long. did you know that we are an expansion team? yes, this is our first year in the league, and we played hard.
if you have hard feelings, bring your butt up here to washington and we'll have another go around. anytime, anywhere.

Yo Nick,
It just wouldn't be the Titan way not to deal with haters and adversity. ALL YEAR, ALL YEAR we've had to overcome and deal with ish.
People can say it could have been different or this or that, but the game film won't lie. We were relentless in all aspects. Like we've heard before, we got "lucky" once again. You'd think after 14 times the doubt would stop.

There's not a respect issue from this end. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Titans are a good team. Where the loss of respect is coming from is you guys. You aren't respecting that the Grizzlies came up and went toe to toe with you and you barely pulled it out. You're all acting like you blew the Grizzlies out of the game and the reality of the situation is that didn't happen. It's you that need to have respect.
The better team don't always win. You think you were the better team because you won this particular game and that's your opinion. My opinion is that you guys ain't as good as you think you are......and just as you invite the Grizzlies up to WA, you're welcome to travel to CO. I'm sure they'd be glad to take you on again, anytime......... You're whooping and smack talking didn't scare anybody, in fact, it went away in the second half and it only returned after you kicked your last field goal with about 3 minutes left in the game. The Grizzlies forced two fumbles on your last set of downs and couldn't recover them. They blocked your last field goal but got called for a neutral zone infraction from a head linesman that was a linesman 10 yards downfield because he was also having to double cover the defensive backfield. The Grizzlies just couldn't pull it off. The Titans hung on to a tight win that was a knockdown, dragout battle between two good football teams. BTW, when does a trash talker shutup? When he's in the middle of getting his azz kicked.

just make sure the Grizzlies win the CFC next year and you can have another shot at the NW. Your right the CFC has good players but so does the NW. sounds like it was a good game. But in a championship game it doesn't matter if you win by 1 point or 21 its a win. take it and look towards next year. If your in a championship game you shouldn't have to ask for respect. your already the best team in the CFC and probable atleast in the top 5 or 6 in the NW.

you have still failed to identify yourself. so you are either a grizzlies fan or a player from whatcom raiders. either way, you were a spectator for the titans game. just let it go dude. nobody on this forum is talking trash.
if you don't like the NWFL forum, go away. you aren't part of the nwfl. if you don't like how the summary was written, tough. it is what it is. just let it go.
i'll leave you with a quote from Winston Churchill.... "History was written by the victors."
if you don't like our story, go post the "real" summary on your forum.

Great teams find a way to win. No trash talk, the grizzly team are a good team or you would not have been there in the first place. I repeat a good team. The Titans won that makes them better. No disrespect to what your team the grizzly have done this year. You just lost to a better team. Your team got a chance the same chance to win that game and there can only be one winner. My hats off to both teams. Much respect for what the Titan players coaches and owners have done this year. way to go.
P.S. Get better soon Cap.

Man i am gonna keep it 100 the Grizz was really weak to me. I think we had more comp in the NWFL. We were just rusty and i feel if we played again next sat we will blow u cats out. I know i dont care who u put on Bush or me we cant be stopped. Ur DB's need to get 4 inches taller run a 4.2 and gain 50 lbs and maybe then I repeat MAYBE they can contain us. Our Defense was was all over ur WR and smackin ur QB all day. He might have hopped up but he was for show rattled. To make a long story short Step ur Fu$#@&* game up. We ran all through ur guts.

OK enough is this S@#$. We won the Pizzlies didnt. We had 3 referees one of them which was slightly slow in the head. When he threw a flag on an out of bounds punt by piper cause he "thought it was a kickoff" pretty much all of the penalties thrown were on us. So on top of beating the refs we beat the Shizzlies too. 3 times 1 of your 4 nose tackles jumped off sides without being called. Not to mention lining up with his head over the ball, which was only called one time. Basically the Mile High Shizzlies got eaten up and spit out and then eaten up again. No doubt we didnt have a run game. So all you lame @$$es had to do was stop the pass and you couldnt do that. Stay in Colorado. We saw some of you chumps up in the club looking RAGGITY trying to rep CO. Little did you know we had mutha F@#$%&* in every corner of that place, not to mention VIP cause thats how the NW rolls. We do it big plain and simple!
So to all the Shizzlies thanks for trying to compete with us. Unfortunately you lost. Nothing you can do about it.
Facts are facts and "24-13 Titans WIN" just doesnt lie!

| Man, stop crying. Ya'll lost, simple as that. Dont matter how many points yall lost by, dont matter how many how many yards they were held to. Bottom line is 24-13. Do you really think the Titans had their whole squad there too? They were missing players just like the Grizzlies were. So this makes it even. AND, why would the Titans, why SHOULD the Titans have to travel out to Colorodo to play ya'll? The Titans have already beat the Grizzlies and have nothing more to prove to them. The Grizzlies on the other hand sound like they have sour grapes and since they lost, if they want a rematch, come up HERE and get some.

First of all much respects to all the MEN that play this game of FOOTBALL and live to tell it like it is after the GAME. This thread was originally one for the TITANS and especially for our BOYEE CAPP who is doing good( HE wrote another thread) LOL,,,, BUt anyways it was an HONOR to be able to play this game with such REAL OFFENSIVE LINEMEN like--ROCK, TULI, JUSTIN, BiG ROB, SEXY MAN POE( Im taking that title next year if you play) RADIO, and the guys that could'nt make it that would've made HOLES big enough for a SAMOAN WoMens (LOL) to go through--->like BRANDON REYNA( we didnt have a national anthem but we miss your ritual headbashing ) and BiG CHARLES and Keith if he really wanted 2... Man it was just great to be in the series blocking for the play that BUSH caught and started BACK PEDDLING 12 yards out and into the endzone like WOW.. Imagine if he was running forward..LMAO!!!!! Im sure if you asked PIPE and BUSH they would've told you that we won as a team. And to say that without them we would've been nothing. I swear my boyees kept telling us the LINE to give them 2 to 3 seconds and we can get to endzone. And guess what?? WE DID. To all the TITANS that made the trip THANK YOU for this part of a memory that i will share with my kids and grandkids someday. I LOVE YOU ALL and GOD BLESS, And for those with injuries may you recover soon. And for the COLORADO GRIZZLIES good game but just remember who won--> Like our coach D.SPARKS said--> You gotta read up on the history on how who the TITANS where and how they came to BE.. And thats why we are who we are CHAMPIONS !! Thank you Coach Scott for the opprotunity. ONE LOVE

From the Grizz website
FWFA CHAMPIONSHIP
TITANS 24 - GRIZZLIES 13
12/8/8 - First and foremost, a big "THANKS" goes out to the friends and family that have supported the Grizzlies throughout the year. You guys were great. And to Keith Cogar, from the deepest spot of my heart, thank you for giving to the team an unforgettable experience that will last a lifetime.
The Grizzlies lost a hard fought battle to the Puget Sound Titans this past weekend in Las Vegas. The score was not indicative of the beatdown the Grizzlies put on the Titans, especially in the second half of the game. The Grizzlies defense held the Titans offense to under 150 total yards, but were unable to overcome the flagrant offensive pass interference penalties that were not called because there were only 3 officals calling the game, two of which shouldn't have been on the field. When a punt goes out of bounds untouched and a penalty is called like on a kickoff, you know you have problems. When offensive holding is a spot foul and you're playing NFL rules, there's a problem. When you're told before the game that there would no cut blocks and the officials let it ride even on the kickoffs, there's a problem. There wasn't even a white hat at the game. And dirty, the Titans exemplfy semi-pro football to it's ultimate. In my 14 years of semi-pro football around the region, the Titans were by far, the dirtiest team I've ever seen. Now, that's not to say that they weren't talented, because they were very talented, but then again, so are the Grizzlies. The Titans are big and fast, and so are the Grizzlies. The Titans are tough, so are the Grizzlies, just ask a few of the Titan players how they're feeling today. Ask the QB, ask their running backs. Ask their LB's, who were consistantly trucked by FB John Davis. A good football team won the game, but not the best team........
As far as the FWFA, if what I experienced this weekend is/was indicative of your organization, this experience left a lot to be desired. NWFL, if you you allow your teams to be this dirty, you either need to cleanup or shutdown.

No doubt the Titans are a good ball club. You won the game and like I said before, that's all that really matters, but I'm going to finish with this comment......Your offense didn't sniff the end zone in the second half except for a field goal with about 2 minutes left in the game because of a returned interception that put you at the spot that you kicked the field goal.

Take your loss like men and get the f* over it.
Again congrats to the Titans on the great season!
